Ladin Awad is a multidisciplinary artist, curator and producer by way of Sudan and NYC. Her work seeks to interrupt the monolithic narratives through which cross-cultural Black diasporic life is viewed and understood. At the intersections of film and photography, she explores intimate expansions and interventions on our relationships to movement, memory, and time.
Her practice is centered around innovative forms of image making as well as identifying cultural movements and translating them to immersive and experiential art programming.
